Apple, Think Secret settle lawsuit - Damn!

Hey Apple! Way to bite the hand that feeds you… YOU DUMBASS!

PRESS RELEASE: Apple and Think Secret have settled their lawsuit, reaching an agreement that results in a positive solution for both sides. As part of the confidential settlement, no sources were revealed and Think Secret will no longer be published. Nick Ciarelli, Think Secret’s publisher, said “I’m pleased to have reached this amicable settlement, and will now be able to move forward with my college studies and broader journalistic pursuits.”

Think Secret will no longer be published? WTF? Does that mean that Apple bought him off? I surely hope not. Not for Nick’s sake, but for Apple’s sake. I would hate to think that Apple would buy off someone like that. Sure, Nick could have ended up losing it all in a long court battle with Apple, but I hate the precendent that this is setting. Of course, this is a confidential settlement and I am sure that we will not know the true nature for a long time.

Even if I have feelings that the little guy shouldn’t have settled, I can understand fully. Good luck guy. I didn’t read the site much, but was subscribed to your feed. Just another reason to dislike Apple.

On a similar subject, a friend of mine pointed me to this post about Apple Censorship at Tom’s Hardware.

And by a contract they signed I mean the employees at Apple that choose to leak information. Obviously Think Secret didn't sign anything

I don't understand what you are so angry about? If you worked for a company and were working on new technologies, products etc.. would you want it leaked on the internet so that your competition would have the ability to start copying it more readily. I am sure leaking information in some way was against a contract they signed and illegal to do. Why does everyone support people who break the law because they can't wait to see pictures/tech specs of a companies new products. Why are you rooting for criminal activity to continue?
