Can anyone tell me what Snake this is?

This evening, we found this snake in our yard. My wife really wants to know what it is. Websites showing common Alabama snakes don’t have anything like it. Could this be someone’s pet on the loose?

    Also it is a native species to the southern states, living from the carolinas all the way to florida

    It appears to be a baby gopher snake or baby bull snake. Either way it's not venomous and it eats small mammals. It kills it's prey by constriction. Hoped this helped.
