Make sure to watch it all, the sales guy’s desktop. 100 programs running, icons arranged with the word FUK U and a penis. Then the AOL bit… lol

Lucky Strike Bowling - WOW!!!

Monday, April 21st, 2008

If you want to go bowling and want to do it right, find a Lucky Strike in your area, if there is one…

Let me tell you, this place is upscale. Jason Dunn and I walked in and we were like, “WOW”. The 1st thing you see is a very attractive, model quality hostess to greet you. Then you walk in and you would swear you were in a top shelf night club until you hear pins rattling. Instead of plastic chairs, you have nice couches and coffee tables. The lighting is nice and the food is great.

I have no clue what it cost to bowl here since I was there for a party with Microsoft Zune Team members and MVPs, but I is probably a tad more expensive than your average alley. There is a dress code as well, so that should tell you something. :)

I used to bowl in a league with a 180 average, but that was 10+ years ago. I think my best game was 158 that night. My wrist is still sore for trying to bowl my hook with a house ball. Graham Skee from Anythingbutipod was the star of the show. It was a good time to be had by all.

Blogging from the MVP Summit 2008

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

Now most of you realize that I am bound by NDA on most of what we discuss and learn at the MVP Summit, so I won’t be reporting much on that on any of my sites. I can say that it has been a blast. I have really enjoyed meeting fellow Windows Mobile and Zune MVPS. The social aspect has been great. I know and I have already met most of my fellow Windows Mobile MVPs, but I am meeting all the Zune guys for the 1st time. I have blogged on GotZune about some of this already.

What is really cool and makes me feel even better about what I do, especially since this is all just a hobby, is running into people that know me online. I had a session yesterday with Rob Greenlee, that was just awesome. This morning, I had another really cool encounter. I was smoking a cig before the keynotes and was chit chatting with a couple Windows Live MVPs and discovered after 5 minutes that one of them was a reader of GotZune and Mobilitysite. His name was Steven Boots. What’s even cooler is that he and I communicated via email before. Wanting to keep up with his info, I popped out my laptop and searched his name and found a back and forth we had already had. It’s surely a small world.

I am going to try to be more active! Everytime I log into Facebook, Linkedin, etc, I have so many requests or emails to go through. I am online a lot each day, but I don’t check those sites often. To combat this, I am going to try out a pretty new browser based on Firefox called Flock.

I looks promising, but I fear that all the sidebars and top bars are going to really get on my nerves and be a detriment to serious browsing by limiting my viewable area. We shall see.

I am an online evangelist of Mobile Technology. I run a couple popular websites like Mobilitysite.com, Aximsite.com, and GotZune.com.

I have been a Microsoft MVP, Mobile Devices for 4 years and recently jumped into Digital Media. I am also a member of Mobius. I work a day job, have a wife and 2 kids, and do all this as a hobby out of my love for Mobile Tech.
